Denims continuous revival is always a tricky one, just how do mills
update the most popular fabric in new combinations? The answer lies
in the fiber and finishing of denim, as classic right and left hand twills
continue to be the favored structures. Lighter weight denim that delivers
strength, stretch and comfort continues to drive the market. Cotton remains
the core fiber in the denim sector but new innovations include sustainable
and synthetic fibers. Premium denim is on the increase. Luxury and comfort
combine with mercerized cotton and Pima cotton to bring forward
subtle sheen with cashmere and alpaca for a sensational touch.
Sustainability enters the denim arena with organic cotton and bamboo
teaming up with recycled polyester for an eco conscious approach. Dark
indigo tones are enhanced with bright and yarn dyed fillers for speckled
effects. Bottom weight denim constructions get lighter through the
developments in the core fibers used without neglecting the strength and
ability to withstand aggressive washing and finishing. The difference in
